REVISION OF EARTHQUAKE INFORMATION Issued by Malaysian Meteorological Department Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation at 11:30AM 14 June 2011

This is a revision of the earthquake information issued at 11.13am   A moderate earthquake has occurred with these revised parameters:   Time of Occurrence : 11.01 am on 14 June 2011   Coordinates : 1.7 North 98.4 East   Location : Northern Sumatera. 45 km Northwest of Sibolga , Indonesia 367 km Southwest of P.Pangkor , Malaysia.   Magnitude : 5.7 on Richter scale   Assessment   Tremors felt in Perak, Selangor, W.P Kuala Lumpur, W.P Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka.No tsunami threat to Malaysia. MMD   This will be the final information issued by the department for this event unless there are further developments or additional information becomes available
